VERSION 2.0
Arzed is Rick Zehner.
I am a geologist who started out in photography with a 1940's Ciroflex camera and a black & white darkroom. I moved on to single- reflex cameras and 8mm and Super 8mm with a passion for filming water ripples with different color filters and lap dissolving them together. Once I learned GIS, I began experimenting with modifying pixel images of photographs to form 'augmented imagery', a sort of competition between digital and analog.
Photographs tell a story, but part of my passion is tweaking the images to induce a double-take...a "what was that?" kind of thing.
But I also hope you'll notice that many of the images evoke comfort and restfulness.
